Norton Atlas GT Clearest Images Till Date, Launch in H2 2026

The Atlas GT is inching closer to its launch in the Indian market which is scheduled in the later half of this year

Norton Motorcycles, the TVS-owned British two-wheeler brand, showcased multiple new bikes at the EICMA 2025 which included the Atlas and Atlas GT adventure motorcycles. This time around, Norton Atlas GT – the tourer and more road-specific version – has been spotted on the Indian roads during the test runs ahead of its official launch in the market. The ADV bike is likely to go on sale in the second half of 2026 in India while the local production will take place at TVS factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

The spy images are quite clear and the Atlas GT is not wearing any camouflage at all. We can spot a dual projector LED headlamp setup at front with signature LED DRLs. The tall windscreen and front cowl perfectly compliment the ‘ADV’ character of the Atlas GT. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends while the standard Atlas, being an all-terrain model, comes equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels.

The Atlas GT has a lower saddle height of 810 mm as compared to the 840 mm seat height of the standard Atlas. Some of the striking design elements of the ADV tourer are a massive fuel tank with muscular shrouds, golden-coloured USD front forks, upswept exhaust pipe, single-piece seat, and split grab rails. It will be offered with a rear monoshock suspension and road-biased tyres.

As for features, Norton Atlas GT gets traction control, cruise control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, keyless ignition, ride modes and an 8-inch instrument cluster with TFT display. We are certain that Norton will roll out advanced Smartphone connectivity options with the Atlas GT so that the riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, real-time ride analytics and more.

At the heart, the Atlas GT will house the 585cc twin-cylinder petrol engine which is likely to pump out peak power of around 70 bhp. The power and torque figures have not been officially disclosed by the company. The engine will come paired to a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch while a bi-directional quickshifter could also be offered as an option.

Initially, the Atlas along with the GT version could be sold through TVS dealerships in our country until Norton establishes its own network of showrooms in India. The Atlas will directly rival Kawasaki Versys 650 and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750.
