38% Growth, 4.40 Lakh Units

The brand reported massive growth in export business while also gaining sales momentum in the domestic market in Apr 2026

Bajaj Auto has posted a strong YoY sales growth of 38 percent in Apr 2026. The company sold a total of 4.40 lakh units last month as compared to 3.18 lakh units in Apr 2025. In the domestic market, the Pune-based two-wheeler brand retailed more than 2.10 lakh units in Apr 2026 against 1.89 lakh units during the same month last year with a YoY growth of 11 percent. The export business reported a splendid YoY sales growth of 78 percent as close to 2.30 lakh units were shipped out of India in Apr 2026 as compared to 1.29 lakh units in Apr 2025.

If we look at the commercial vehicle division, a total of 73,839 units were sold in Apr 2026 with 54 percent YoY growth. The domestic sales grew by 19 percent with volumes increasing from 32,000 units in Apr 2025 to 38,147 units in Apr 2026. The exports surged in a drastic manner from 15,873 units in Apr 2025 to 35,692 units in Apr 2026 with a YoY growth of 125 percent.

The total sales (two-wheeler + three-wheeler) volumes stood at 5.14 lakh units in Apr 2026 with a YoY growth of 40 percent. The company had recorded sales of 3.66 lakh units in Apr 2025. It continued to be India’s fourth biggest two-wheeler brand after Hero, Honda and TVS. Bajaj Auto closed the margin with TVS Motor Company as there was a gap of just 15,000 units between the two brands.

Recently, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with a 350cc engine was launched at a sticker price of Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The company claimed that the introduction of the downsized 350cc engine in the motorcycle ensured that it attracts 18 percent GST and hence by unlocking savings of up to Rs 24,500 on the final on-road pricing.

A few days back, Bajaj Auto also rolled out the Dominar 400 with a 350cc engine in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is nearly Rs 37,000 cheaper than the earlier price with a 400cc engine. Bajaj Dominar 400 price has come down due to the downsized 350cc engine as it now attracts lower GST of 18 percent as compared to 40 percent tax on 400cc version.

Last but not the least, Bajaj Pulsar 150 was silently updated with a Black Gold colour scheme. It was already available in four dual-tone colour schemes in the form of Ebony Black + Cherry Gold, Ebony Black + Ink Blue, Ebony Black + Dark Grey and Bottle Green + Copper Beige. The new paint shade will be available with all the three variants namely SD, SD UG and TD UG of the Pulsar 150.
