Top 10 Scooters FY26 India – Activa, Jupiter, Access, Chetak EV

The Indian scooter industry flourished at an unprecedented pace in FY26 due to the rollout of GST 2.0 which brought down the prices of these models

Honda Activa continued as India’s top-selling scooter in FY26 with sales of 28.45 lakh units. Such was the unmatched dominance of the scooter in the Indian market that Honda sold almost double units of the Activa than the #2 scooter, which was TVS Jupiter with 14.63 lakh units in FY26. Honda Activa has been on sale since 2001 and more than 1 crore units of the scooter have been sold till date in the domestic market. It is available with 110cc and 125cc engine options while an all-electric version was also introduced last year.

TVS Jupiter has consistently maintained the second position after the Activa. It is also offered with 110cc and 125 engine options at starting prices of Rs 73,550 and Rs 78,100, respectively. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom. One of the foremost reasons behind rising scooter sales in FY26 is the rollout of GST 2.0 in Sep 2025 which made these models cheaper than before.

The third position was secured by Suzuki Access with 8.13 lakh units as the leader of the 125cc segment in FY26. The fourth position was grabbed by TVS iQube electric scooter with sales of 3.68 lakh units, which is a record feat in itself for any all-electric scooter. At the fifth position was yet another TVS in the form of the Ntorq 125 with sales of 3.64 lakh units.

Honda Dio 2,38,106

So, as we can see, among the top 5 scooters in FY26, TVS had three models. Moving ahead, the sixth spot was captured by yet another EV in the form of Bajaj Chetak EV with retail volumes of 3.03 lakh units. The inclusion of two all-electric models in the list of top 10 scooters in FY26 shows that e-scooters are not niche products anymore as they have become mainstream volume churners.

The seventh position was occupied by Suzuki Burgman Street with sales touching 2.87 lakh units in FY26. The eighth and ninth spots were also held by 125cc scooters in the form of Hero Destini 125 and Honda Dio 125 with volumes of 2.57 lakh units and 2.38 lakh units, respectively. Yamaha had its lone scooter at the tenth position as the RayZR with sales of 2.32 lakh units.

The sales data reveals that demand for the 125cc scooters continued to grow and they contributed the highest to the overall sales. The top 3 scooter models namely Activa, Jupiter and Access alone contributed to around 51 percent of the total volumes of the top 10 scooters. The FY26 was one of the best years for the scooter industry in India as sales touched record high.
