1. Volkswagen Tayron – Upcoming VW Cars

The Tayron R-line has officially arrived as Volkswagen’s premium 7-seater SUV, positioned to offer a blend of luxury and rugged capability. It is locally assembled at the Chhatrapati Sabhajinagar plant, allowing for aggressive pricing. However, the brand may introduce lower-spec variants of the Tayron, making the SUV more accessible to a wider audience. For India, we can expect a more affordable price point, Front Wheel Drive variants instead of AWD, a reduced feature list compared to the R-Line and possibly a lower state of tune for the 2.0-litre TSI. With this move, the vehicle gets more accessible and has the potential to compete effectively with the lower variants of the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq.
The Tayron lower variant could start at ₹ 46 lakh on-road in Mumbai and will likely arrive around Diwali.
