Nissan Patrol Launch & Pricing!

A few weeks ago, Nissan hinted at the possibility of bringing the Patrol to India. The Japanese automaker has tried the CBU route before with the X-trail, but couldn’t quite crack the code. And now, it thinks that the Patrol could finally be the solution. Skoda, Toyota and Volkswagen have received decent response with their CBU units, and Nissan hopes for a similar response with the Patrol.

The launch date seems pretty far away for now, as it has other models lined up for this year. These models include the Tekton and its 7-seater version. And these models could push the launch of the Patrol. We expect a launch around early to mid-2027. And when launched, it won’t be cheap. The Patrol could be priced around Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 3 crore (on-road, Mumbai).

Nissan Patrol – What To Expect?

The Patrol is quite a massive car at 5.35 metres in length, giving it great road presence. And these dimensions translate into a cabin with roomy, spacious interiors. The 3rd row and boot are quite practical as well. Moreover, the cabin is filled with high-quality materials, giving it a plush feel.

And to elevate the cabin experience, you get features like –

  • Level-2 ADAS
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • powered tailgate
  • Powered seats with ventilation
  • Massaging front seats
  • Heads-up display
  • Wireless charging
  • 14.3-inch infotainment screen
  • 14.3-inch digital driver’s display
  • Two 12.8-inch rear entertainment screens
  • 3-zone climate control

Nissan Patrol – No Diesel?

The Patrol is offered with two engine options globally – a 3.8-litre V6 petrol and a 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol. And like any true off-roading SUV, it gets 4WD. But what’s surprising is that it gets no diesel option. We expect the Indian model to get the 3.8-litre engine. This powertrain may have decent performance figures, but you would miss out on the feel and sound of a diesel. Moreover, it doesn’t get hybrid either, which means that the fuel efficiency figures would be quite poor as well.
