JSW Jetour T2 – Estimated Launch and Pricing Revealed

The JSW Jetour T2 – India’s new mini Defender is one of the exciting launches that will happen this year. JSW has already said that its SUVs will be priced at a very accessible price point. However, here’s how much we expect this SUV to cost –

JSW Jetour T2 Expected Pricing – 

We have already revealed several details about the model, from features to powertrains and off-road capabilities. In India, the Jetour T2-based SUV will be JSW’s flagship product, offering higher performance figures compared to the ICE cars in the segment. To be exact, it will rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Majestor, and others in India. 

Considering the statement on pricing released by JSW some time back, along with the feature list and strong powertrain setup, we think this SUV might be priced between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At this price point, the SUV will still be more affordable than its arch rivals. 

Some auto portals still claim that this SUV could have a price tag of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), but a car with such offerings, at such a low price, doesn’t make sense. Apart from this, JSW will launch two more cars, including the Jaecoo J5 and iCar V23, following the launch of the Jetour T2.

What Else? 

One of the key highlights of the Jetour T2-based JSW SUV will be its powertrain. It is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 26.7 kWh battery pack and dual motors. It comes with a plug-in hybrid system with a combined output standing at 381bhp and 610Nm, making it a powerful SUV in its segment. Transmission duties are handled by a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), offering better acceleration and performance compared to the e-CVT gearbox. 

Features on the model include a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, 540-degree camera, level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, Sony sound system, wireless charging pad, powered tailgate, and more.
