The Kia Seltos EV

Kia has already confirmed that it will include a total of 8 electrified models in its lineup – this includes the upcoming Syros EV, Carnival hybrid, and Sorento hybrid. Along with these, we expect the electric version of Seltos to join Kia’s lineup. While the Seltos has yet to be confirmed by the brand, we expect it, as Hyundai already has the Creta electric in its EV lineup. Apart from that, the Korean automaker is also planning to offer a hybrid with the Seltos. While the Seltos hybrid is expected by the end of 2027 or early 2028, its launch timeline has yet to be revealed.

Kia Seltos EV – Styling and Features

The Seltos EV is yet to be spotted, and expect it to closely resemble the ICE model in terms of styling and design; however, the EV-specific changes, like the closed grille, will be seen on the model. Apart from that, we expect the model to be offered in some new exciting colour options, not like the ones offered with the ICE Seltos.

Inside, the EV version is expected to feature dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and the digital driver’s display, as well as a dedicated 5-inch touch panel for climate control. On top of that, features like ventilated front seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a Bose sound system. The safety side is also expected to be strong, thanks to the all-new K3 platform. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and the full suite of parking sensors and electronic stability controls.

It would also support fast charging, with a 10-80% charge expected in under an hour on a DC fast charger. Kia could also add Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support, which lets you power external devices from the car’s battery.
