JSW Jetour T2 – 7-Seater Version Incoming?
The Jetour T2-based SUV in India will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq and other big SUVs. However, the brand is currently considering a 5-seat version of the model for India, but there is also a possibility that a 7-seat version could join the lineup, as 7-seaters are favoured in India.
The model is currently available in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations in the International market; however, in India, the brand will mark its entry with the 5-seat version. At present, there is no confirmation from the brand suggesting the 7-seat version of the model could be in the pipeline. We expect the brand to take action after considering sales of the 5-seater version.

If the brand launches a 7-seat version of the SUV, it will be larger than the 5-seat version to accommodate the third-row passengers and leverage some boot space. Apart from the increased length, the model is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine, the most powerful in the segment. It will be paired with a 3-speed DHT transmission.
Just like the powertrain, the feature list of the 7-seat model is also expected to be similar. However, we could see some additions, mainly for the third-row seating, such as AC vents, a USB charging port, and others.

Expected Pricing
The 7-seater version of the Jetour T2-based SUV is still some time away, as the brand will launch the 5-seater version first. Apart from that, we are expecting the 5-seater Jetour T2-based SUV to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), so if the 7-seater version gets launched in India, it could be priced between Rs 48 lakh to Rs 55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). More information about the 7-seater Jetour T2 is expected to be revealed ahead of launch of the 5-seater model.
