10. BYD Sealion 7 – Top 10 Luxury Cars

BYD sold a healthy 2,213 Sealion units last year. This seems particularly impressive for an EV that costs between Rs 52.33 lakh and Rs 58.32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It shows that Indians have trusted the relatively new Chinese brand. The Sealion is a great package of features and performance, being one of the reasons for its success.

9. BMW 3-Series

2,328 units of the 3-series were sold last year. It costs between Rs. 72.56 lakh and Rs 76.87 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Moreover, it is important to note that India only gets the long-wheelbase as standard, which makes the price tag seem fair.

The hype for the Defender isn’t limited to the internet, as it sold 2,470 units last year. It is quite expensive, priced between Rs 1.30 crore and Rs 3.29 crore (on-road, Mumbai). These high prices are due to the unit being a CBU. Fortunately, these prices will see a significant cut once the India-EU FTA deal is in place, making one of the best off-roaders in the world more accessible.

7. BMW 5-Series

The 5 Series is BMW’s bread and butter. It has been one of its most important models historically. BMW sold 2,534 units of it last year. Interestingly, it is offered in a single LWB variant that costs Rs 90.11 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
