The Alcazar is an important 7-seater in Hyundai’s portfolio, positioned as a family-friendly SUV derived from the Creta DNA. The vehicle has a great wheelbase (150mm longer than the Creta) and a good feature list. The upcoming Alcazar would likely carry the same. It would offer the same 1.5L Turbo Petrol (158bhp, 253Nm) and a 1.5L Diesel (114bhp, 250Nm), paired with manual, DCT, and torque converter automatic options.

Key features would include dual-zone climate control, ADAS (Hyundai SmartSense), panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera. Hyundai is already exploring a third-generation overhaul for the Creta/Alcazar platform (codenamed SX3) expected around 2027, potentially featuring a more futuristic design language inspired by global models like the Ioniq 5. The new platform would have an increased wheelbase, making it 2700mm. The vehicle is expected to cost approximately ₹19 lakh to ₹25 lakh on the road in Mumbai.

Upcoming Hyundai 7-Seaters – ‘Ni1i’

This vehicle could directly fill the gap between Alcazar and the flagship SUVs. Internally, the vehicle is codenamed ‘Ni1i’ and is a pivotal weapon in the brand’s fight against the Mahindra XUV7XO and the Tata Safari.

The vehicle could be positioned above Alcazar. There is a possibility of a Hybrid tech being produced at the Telegaon facility near Pune. The Ni1i would offer a more premium, electrified alternative to current market leaders, prioritising fuel efficiency alongside the space required for a proper 7-seater experience.

Upcoming Hyundai 7-Seaters – Palisade

Palisade is Hyundai’s move into premium full-size SUV territory. It would rival the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster. The vehicle is a large,  boxy three-row SUV measuring approximately 2980mm in length with a 2900mm wheelbase, ensuring enough interior space. While global markets offer a 3.8L V6 petrol engine, the India-bound model is expected to prioritise a strong hybrid setup, potentially focusing on a long driving range (over 1000km on a full tank) and impressive fuel efficiency. It will feature an intelligent AWD system with terrain modes (Mud, Sand, Snow).

The SUV is expected to include Level-2 ADAS, power-folding third-row seats, memory seats, an in-car intercom system and a rear-seat conversation/sleep mode. The vehicle is expected to be available from mid-2027. Introductory pricing is estimated to start around ₹50 lakh, with top-end variants potentially reaching ₹60 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
