Maruti Suzuki Eeco Facelift-

Maruti Suzuki Eeco has been in the Indian market since 2010, and over the years, not much has changed. We all know that Eeco is not about looks, features, or performance; it’s all about practicality. It is one of the most practical vans you can buy in India. And that is reflected in this van’s sales figures. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is one of the best-selling vans in the country right now. Why do Indians keep going back to this Van? What does it have to offer, and what do we expect from its upcoming facelift? Let’s find out

Looks-

Well, to retain the practical cabin space, the Eeco’s boxy silhouette will remain the same. You can expect subtle changes, like some tweaks to the front grille and bumpers. At the front, the Eeco still features a halogen headlamp in 2026, which could be replaced with an LED unit in the Eeco facelift. The tall-boy stance of the Eeco is expected to remain unchanged, which adds to its practicality. With the update, we might expect alloy wheels to be offered for the top trims. What else?

Interiors & Features-

Inside the 5-seater or 7-seater cabin, the major changes are expected. The current generation of the Eeco features one of the most basic cabins. But with the facelift, Maruti is expected to offer a small infotainment screen, steering-mounted controls, and additional features derived from other entry-level Marutis. Given the heat wave across the country this summer, air conditioning could be offered in all its forms. Other than that, the top trims could be featured with powered windows. Modern-day Maruti Suzuki cars perform well in crash tests. That being said, the Eeco facelift might get additional safety improvements over the last update with the introduction of 6 airbags.

Powertrain-

One of the major factors behind Eeco sales could remain unchanged even with the facelift. The 1.2-litre K-series engine under the front seat could also be offered with the facelift. This engine produces 81bhp and 105Nm of torque, and comes paired with the 5-speed manual transmission. Yes, the most selling CNG variant is also expected to be retained with the facelift.

Rivals-

The majority of Eeco’s sales come from the commercial sector. Eeco is not just being sold as a taxi or people carrier; it has wide applications, such as small-business goods carriers or ambulances for hospitals. In the passenger car segment, the direct rivals to the Eeco facelift will be the Renault Triber and the Nissan Gravite.

Expected Launch & Pricing-

There is no word from the automaker on the Eeco facelift’s launch, but given the demand and stricter safety regulations, we can expect it by early 2027. The current generation of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is priced between Rs 6.16 lakh and Rs 7.28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the update, we can expect the price hike of about Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000.
