Renault Mini Duster – Mileage 

Renault is planning to introduce a 1.2-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain in its upcoming compact SUV, the Bridger. The hybrid powertrain operates on the Miller cycle, which primarily focuses on efficiency. With this SUV, Renault will likely target a high mileage figure – near 30 kmpl. As the compact SUV buyers mainly look for high mileage, the Bridger can be a good choice.

Price

We expect Renault to price this upcoming compact SUV competitively. It will be positioned above the Kiger, but under the sub-4m segment. Apart from that, the 1.2-litre engine will help the brand to get GST benefits. That said, we can expect the model to be priced between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Talking about its launch, this compact SUV is expected to launch by mid-2027.

Renault Mini Duster – Features

The compact SUV is expected to get a slew of features, including a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, powered front seats, a wireless charger, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags standard, and ADAS, among others.

AWD

The Bridger is expected to be based on the new CMFB platform, which supports hatchback, SUV, and MPV body types. One key highlight of this platform is its support for an AWD drivetrain. This means Nissan could possibly offer it the 4WD drivetrain to compete with the 3-door Thar.

Renault Mini Duster – Multiple Powertrains

The upcoming Renault compact SUV is expected to come in several powertrain options, including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from the Duster, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, and a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid engine. The brand might also plan to offer a CNG option going forward; however, it is yet to be confirmed. More details about the SUV are expected to be out as we near its launch.
