The Jetour T2-based JSW SUV will be one of the finest launches happening this festive season. The model is rumoured to be priced at around Rs 45 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and is likely to compete with the Toyota Fortuner. Now, ahead of its launch, there have been several discussions suggesting that the model delivers an outstanding mileage of nearly 125 kmpl. But how real is it, and will the Jetour T2-based JSW SUV deliver the same? Here’s everything to know –

JSW Jetour T2 Mileage Explained – 

JSW has already revealed that it will focus on launching PHEVs in the Indian market, and the Jetour T2-based SUV will be the first to offer it in JSW’s lineup. The Jetour T2 uses a 1.5-litre turbo petrol-hybrid engine paired with a 3-speed DHT gearbox. In the international market, the SUV is claimed to offer nearly 0.8 litres/100km. This eventually translates to 125kmpl, but there’s a catch. As the model is a plug-in hybrid, the EV-only range is calculated. 

To keep it simple, until the battery runs out, you are getting an infinite kmpl figure. But once the petrol engine kicks in, these figures no longer receive assistance from the motor, and the numbers level out. That said, even though the claimed efficiency is high, we expect the model to at least offer a realistic range of nearly 30 to 35kmpl, and for an SUV of this size, the said range is also a good figure.

Expected Pricing & Launch –

The Jetour T2-based JSW SUV is expected to be launch by the festive season this year. Talking about pricing, we expect this SUV’s price to range between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
