Hyundai Venue Hybrid – Key Details

Kia has officially announced that the Sonet hybrid will launch by 2028. So it is only expected that its sibling, the Venue, also gets a hybrid. Not to mention, the new Venue’s K1 platform is hybrid compatible.
The Venue recently got a major update, so the aesthetics will remain unchanged with the hybrid. Other than a couple of hybrid badges and aero-friendly wheels, not many revisions are expected.

It could be offered with a 1.2-litre NA-petrol engine mated to hybrid technology. The 1.2-litre NA engine has decent efficiency figures, and with the hybrid, the mileage figures would improve further. Furthermore, Hyundai is also rumoured to be working on the CNG variants of the Venue as well. The Nexon CNG has become quite popular, and Hyundai would like to copy that recipe for its compact SUV.

Expected Launch & Pricing

The Venue hybrid seems a long way off for now, as we expect a 2028 launch. Hyundai has other hybrids planned for launch as well. These models include the Creta hybrid and the Palisade hybrid.
As for pricing, the Venue hybrid range could start around Rs 11-12 lakh. This would make the Venue hybrid one of the cheapest hybrid models in the country. However, the top trims could go up to Rs 18-19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). These figures may seem a bit steep, but you would make up for these additional costs in a couple of years, thanks to the good mileage.
