The Nexon has set a precedent in the compact-SUV market with its extensive feature list and attractive pricing. Rival automakers keep updating their cars in the hope of getting ahead of the Nexon. And now, Kia has done the same with one of its SUVs. Here are all the details you should know.

Kia Syros Facelift Launched

The Syros is quite unique and arguably the most feature-loaded SUV of them all. Not to mention, it is also one of the safest SUVs out there as it flaunts a 5-star BNCAP rating. But still, it couldn’t attract sales as well as the Nexon or its sibling, the Sonet. Kia has updated the feature-loaded Syros for MY2026, hoping to change its fortunes.

People found its looks and pricing questionable, and Kia has now revised them. The pricing has been reduced by around Rs 27,000 (ex-showroom), and the aesthetics have been tweaked accordingly. The Syros has received tweaks to the front bumper, giving it a more aggressive look. At the same time, the rear profile has been refreshed. Furthermore, you also get new 17-inch diamond-cut alloys with neon-colored brake callipers. 3 new colour options have also been added: Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, and Ivory Silver Gloss.

New Variants

4 new variants have also been unveiled –

  • HTE
  • HTE(O)
  • HTK+(O)
  • HTX(O)

With the new variants, the Syros becomes more accessible. The price gaps between variants has reduced and you get more value for the buck with the mid variants. Furthermore, the diesel automatic variants have also become more accessible.

The powertrain options include –

  • 1.5-litre diesel (6-speed AT and 6-speed manual)
  • 1.0-litre turbo petrol (6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT)

And for the USP – features, it gets equipment like front and rear ventilated seats, powered driver seat, wireless charger, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, leatherette seats, Level-2 ADAS, 8-speaker Harmon Kardon system, panoramic sunroof and much more.
