Top 10 Scooters in Mar 2026 – Activa, Jupiter, Access, Dio

The scooter segment witnessed growing demand in March 2026 as almost every model registered positive YoY sales growth

The scooter segment posted a strong YoY growth of 29.6 percent in March 2026 as the top 10 models accounted for over 6.70 lakh units against 5.18 lakh units in March 2025. This growth signalled that people in urban and semi-urban centres still prefer automatic scooters. Honda Activa maintained the pole position with sales touching around 2.60 lakh units with a YoY growth of 36.9 percent. It continues to be the highest-selling scooter in India with over 1 crore units being retailed since the launch in 2001.

TVS Jupiter continued at the second position with sales of around 1.25 lakh units in March 2026. It recorded YoY growth of 17.9 percent as 1.06 lakh units were sold in March 2025. Identical to Honda Activa, the Jupiter is available with 110cc and 125cc engine options while being the second most sold scooter in the Indian market. TVS also retails the Ntorq in the 125cc segment.

Suzuki Access retained the third position with sales of 72,658 units in March 2026. The sales volumes stood at 66,362 units during the same month last year, resulting in a YoY growth of 9.5 percent. The Access is the only model in the list of top 10 scooters to have market share in double digits (10.8%) after the Activa (38.7%) and Jupiter (18.6%).

The fourth and fifth spots were secured by all-electric models in the form of TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak EV with sales of 38,757 units and 34,416 units, respectively. While the iQube YoY sales grew by 45.3 percent, the Chetak EV witnessed a surge in YoY sales by 18.7 percent. Both the electric scooters had a combined market share of more than 10 percent in the segment despite inadequate charging infrastructure.

The sixth and seventh positions were held by TVS Ntorq and Honda Dio with volumes of 32,598 units and 31,180 units, respectively. Suzuki Burgman, at the eighth place, was the only model in the list of top 10 scooters in March 2026 to register a negative growth. This could be due to the arrival of the new version of the scooter, which was launched on April 2, 2026.

The ninth and tenth spots went to Yamaha RayZR and Hero Destini with 25,798 units and 24,177 units, respectively. Ather Rizta, which featured in the list in Feb 2026, couldn’t make it this time as the Destini outnumbered the all-electric scooter in March 2026. The ICE as well as EV models in the scooter segment continued to receive decent demand in March 2026.
