Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift-

The next update will be more of an evolution rather than a revolution. It’s been two years since we received the new Dzire update, which brought some major design and technical changes. Following that, the Dzire facelift is expected to include some additions compared to the current versions. Here is what you can expect from the Dzire Facelift-

Looks-

On the outside, the body silhouette is expected to remain the same. The front might receive changes, including a refreshed grille, sharper headlamps, and a redesigned bumper. At the rear, there is a chance that this best-selling Maruti could also feature a connected taillamp, as on other Marutis. What else?

Interiors-

Most people complain that the Dzire’s interior is too basic; this could change with the upcoming facelift. Dzire facelift might get a bigger infotainment screen and an option of a fully digital drive display. Other features, such as a Heads-up display, an auto-dimming IRVM, and additional features from other Maruti Suzuki cars, can be added to the Dzire facelift.

Safety-

Dzire became the first major breakthrough for Maruti Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki was criticised for its low safety rating, but with the Dzire, the automaker addressed all the criticism. This compact sedan became the first-ever Maruti Suzuki car to secure a 5-star safety rating in both GNCAP and BNCAP. Dzire scored 29.46 out of 32 for adult protection and 41.57 out of 32 for child protection in Bharat NCAP, making it one of the safest in the segment. And with the Heartect platform reinforced with high-strength steel, 6 airbags as standard, and other safety features, the same is expected to continue with the new Dzire facelift.

Powertrain-

One of the biggest reasons behind the massive sales of the Dzire the fuel-efficient powertrain. And the efficient powertrain featuring the Z-series 1.2-litre petrol engine is expected to remain largely the same, with a different tune to make it feel livelier. This engine in the pure petrol variant will produce about 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, and the CNG variant will produce about 70 bhp and 102 Nm of torque. Gearbox options with this engine are expected to remain the same, featuring a 5-speed manual and AMT. Also, there is a chance the automaker might introduce mild-hybrid tech to the Dzire facelift, as the Dzire in the Philippines already has it. Not just the new hybrid tech, the CNG tank might also get the underbody fitting. Along with this, there are reports that the flex-fuel Maruti Suzuki will soon enter the Indian market, and the Dzire facelift might be one of the first to adopt this technology.

Rivals-

The direct rivals to the Dzire facelift will be the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. Hyundai Aura will be the major rival, given the huge demand for both cars in the fleet segment.

Expected Launch & Pricing-

There is no official word or test mule spotted for the Dzire facelift just yet; that said, we can expect this update by mid 2027. Currently, the Dzire is being priced between Rs 7.37 lakh and Rs 10.89 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the update, we can expect a price hike of about Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000. If there were an introduction of the Hybrid powertrains, these variants could cost slightly more than the other variants. What do you think about this Dzire Facelift?
