The Renault’s mini Duster, could be called as Bridger, is expected to be launched by the end of 2027 or by 2028. The model is currently is in the early stages of development, and in the coming year we could possibly see its test mules out. Talking about the pricing, we expect the model to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). As it being a sub-4m SUV, we expect it to come at an accessible price range to under cut its arch rival, Mahindra Thar.

Apart from Mahindra Thar, this Renault SUV will likely rival the Maruti Jimny. As the brand has already suggested that this will be a lifestyle SUV, we expect it to include the 4WD drivetrain – this can be possible as the platform, CMFB, which underpins it is 4WD (4 wheel drive) compatible.

What Else?

Another key highlight of the model that we expect is the inclusion of 1.2-litre, 3 cylinder, petrol hybrid engine. With this hybrid setup, Renault is expecting a greater mileage of nearly 30kmpl with the SUV. That said, we expect this model to fit in the checklist of the buyers who want a off-roader and also those who want a fuel efficient model.

While the model is in the early stages of production, the interior details are scarce. However, we expect the interior to be similar to the one seen on the Renault Duster, including the same suite of features. Some of the features to mention include, 10.1-inch infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ADAS, 6-airbags, and more in its package. More details will be confirmed as we near its launch or when Renault begins its testing.
