Maruti Brezza Facelift Price – What’s New?

The Maruti Brezza has been due for an update. Compared to rivals like the Tata Nexon, Skoda Kodiaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Hyundai Venue, the Brezza seems outdated. With the facelift, Maruti will update the model with cosmetic changes and new features, and the Brezza will also get new powertrain options, which eventually will lead to a price drop.

Back in 2024, when the GST rate changes were announced, the sub-4m segment saw a huge rise, as GST was brought down from 28-31% to a flat 18%. While all the SUVs that rival the Brezza took the benefit of this change, Maruti was handcuffed by its Brezza. Why? Well, the GST changes are effective only for cars that were slotted below the sub-4m segment and have petrol and diesel engine capacities below 1200cc and 1500cc (1.2-litre and 1.5-litre), respectively. However, as the Brezza used a 1.5-litre petrol engine, it did not get the benefits, resulting in a price hike while its competitors saw a price drop.

That said, with this facelift, we expect Maruti to offer a new powertrain for the Brezza, either the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine or the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Both of these will help lower the tax and, eventually, help the price drop for a bit. So we expect the updated Brezza to see a price drop once it launches.

What Else?

Until now, we have spotted several changes on the Brezza; one of the most interesting was the underbody CNG kit. Maruti debuted the underbody CNG kit on the Victoris, and the same tech is now on the Brezza. This will help to liberate more boot space. Along with that, we expect to see styling enhancements, including revised front and rear bumpers, new alloys, redesigned headlamps, and more. The model was previously spotted with the same rear light setup, so that will be kept the same. Apart from that, we also expect the updated model to include some new features – these include a larger infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, ADAS, and more.

With this update, we expect the model to pose tough competition to its rivals in India.
