Tata Sierra Safety –

Tata cars are known for one thing – utmost safety. And it has kept its identity similar with the all new Sierra. At the launch event, the automaker showcased a video of Sierra’s inhouse crash test. Unlike the other cars that fly in the wall, Tata made the Sierra crash against another Sierra. What was the result?
- The passenger cell was intact
- Structural integrity was intact
- No fuel leakage
According to Tata, “Injury performance for the Driver, Co-Driver, and child passengers was within prescribed limits, while the vehicle structure preserved cabin integrity under high-severity impact.”
This suggests how well Tata has thought about the safety of this new SUV. Even though the NCAP crash test results are awaited, we can expect this model to score a full 5-star rating. Also it can emerge as the new safest SUV. Why?
The Sierra is built using high performance ultra high strength steel material. This allows the model to not get thrashed in case of a very unpredictable accident, even at the high speeds. We have already seen how Tata cars have performed in real-life accidents previously, but the Sierra is expected to ace them all in terms of safety.
