Yes, believe it or not, the MG M9 is likely to become the new personal favourite of VIPs! Launched in July 2025, the MG M9 is a big, luxurious & feature-loaded car. The appeal of the M9 is good enough that cricketers like KL Rahul & renowned singer – Shankar Mahadevan have already purchased the model. So, more such personalities will likely choose the M9 over the current popular car – Toyota Vellfire! But why will the M9 possibly replace the Vellfire among the VIPs?

• Dimensions – Indian buyers – middle class or upper class – have a mentality of owning a Big Car! The Vellfire is a massive car, but the M9 takes the crown. The MG MPV is 265mm longer and 150mm wider than the Vellfire. Also, it has a longer wheelbase at 3200mm compared to the 3000mm of the Vellfire! • Second Row Comfort – VIPs choose these cars mainly for the second-row comfort they offer. Now, both these MPVs are comfortable. However, the MG M9 gets 16-way electrically adjustable second row seats while the Vellfire gets only 8-way electric adjustment! • Price – So, everything that we shared until now might make you think that the MG M9 & the Vellfire are priced very competitively. However, the fact is that the MG M9 is significantly cheaper than the Toyota Vellfire. The M9 is priced at Rs 73.83 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), while the Vellfire is priced between Rs 1.58 crore & Rs 1.69 crore (on-road, Mumbai).
