Upcoming Toyota 7-Seater

Several automakers are planning to launch 7-seater models in the country, due to increasing demand. In the middle, Toyota is also planning to launch a new 7-seater model in the country. The model is expected to be positioned between HyRyder and the Innova. Talking about this model, we expect it to be based on the upcoming Maruti 7-seater MPV, which is currently being tested, codenamed YMC. Here’s everything to know about the model –

Looks 

The Toyota 7-seater model is expected to resemble the Maruti’s upcoming 7-seater MPV. While the Maruti MPV has been spotted several times, its design cues are still not revealed. Some sneak peak of the Maruti MPV hinted that it shares design cues with the other Maruti cars, similarly, we expect the Toyota MPV to share its design cues with HyRyder and Innova and also some bits from the Toyota Ebella.

Interior & Features 

Talking about the features, expect the Toyota’s 7-seater MPV to get features from the Toyota Ebella. That said, the list of expected features include twin screen setup, Level 2 ADAS suite, 7-airbags standard, 360-degree camera, JBL premium audio system, wireless charging pad, sunroof, powered & ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining rear seats and more. Apart from that, the model will get some other features for the third row passengers that include the AC vents and charging port.

Powertrain 

Talking about the battery packs, we expect the model to get a 49kWh battery pack (142bhp, 193Nm & 440km range) and a 61kWh battery pack (172bhp, 193Nm & 543km range).

Rivals 

The Toyota 7-seater model will rival its Maruti counterpart and other electric models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7 and other electric MPVs.

Expected Launch & Pricing

Regarding its launch, we expect the Toyota 7-seater to debut by mid-2027 or late 2027. Pricing-wise, the model is expected to range between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
