Being a facelift, the major difference is the design. The City facelift gets a much sharper design when compared to the existing model. Honda has offered a set of brand-new headlights with an aggressive design, along with a DRL on the front grille. The grille is quite different from the existing one, and Honda has given the City a sportier appearance with an angular front bumper and splitter. The front-end of the City facelift has a very sporty design, which adds more character to the sedan. Down the side, not much has changed, apart from the wheels, adding more oomph to the side profile.

Moving on to the rear, you’ll see subtle differences when compared to the existing model. While the overall design of the taillight is similar to that of the current model, the taillights now get a smoked effect, and the brake light is now transparent, instead of having a red tint. The rear bumper has also been revised and now has rear fog reflectors, allowing for better visibility. We believe that Honda has done an excellent job with the design and will surely appeal to many sedan fans. To conclude, the City facelift has received significant changes, and the design works really well for the sedan.

One of the key reasons the Honda City was lagging behind was its primitive list of features. However, the facelift has fixed this concern. Unlike before, Honda has now offered a 360-degree camera with the City, allowing for better all-around visibility. Moreover, the City facelift now gets ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, level 2 ADAS, and much more.

While Honda has updated the City significantly in cosmetic and feature terms, the engine has been left untouched. The City facelift gets the same 1.5-litre NA petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145Nm of torque, along with either a 6-speed gearbox or a 7-speed DCT. This means that the fun-to-drive experience of the City will remain as it is, and the thrilling V-TEC will still be kicking in! That said, the Honda City facelift carries a price tag ranging from Rs 14.26 lakh to Rs 20.32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
