That’s right! One of the most popular nameplates in the Triumph motorcycle lineup is the Bonneville 400. A proper laid-back roadster with classic retro styling, which will closely represent the bigger Bonneville, will soon make it to the Indian shore. The bike has been spotted testing a few times now, and sources have now confirmed that the Triumph Bonneville 400 will be launched by September 2026 to take on the mighty RE Classic 350. The Bonneville is one of the most iconic names in the Triumph family, and given the success that Triumph has gained from its 400cc lineup, this is a great move. So, let’s take a look at what it has to offer!

What To Expect?

The Bonneville 400 will soon become one of the best-selling Triumphs, considering the popularity that cruisers and roadsters carry in the Indian market. And we believe that the retro looks, along with the modern performance, will become a nightmare for the Classic 350. The baby Bonnie will likely get features like USD front forks, traction control, dual-channel ABS, all-LED lighting, a round digital instrument cluster and much more.

The highlight, however, is the engine – a 349cc engine which we believe could be from the Speed T4, a slightly downtuned version. This 349cc engine could produce 28.6bhp and 31Nm of torque along with a 6-speed gearbox. It is possible that Triumph may offer a different state of tune specifically for the Bonneville to match its character and give it a thumper feel, like the Classic 350. We believe that the baby Bonnie will carry a price tag of around Rs 2.25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it the cheapest Triumph on sale. That said, it will be interesting to see how Indian buyers react to this new Bonneville 400.

So, would you buy this over the Royal Enfield Classic 350?
