3 Key Changes We Expect In Toyota Fortuner Facelift » MotorOctane

The Toyota Fortuner is expected to receive a mid-life update soon, as the Toyota Hilux has received one internationally. Both the Hilux and Fortuner are built on the same platform, sharing equipment suite and powertrains. Now, with the Toyota Hilux debuting an all-new look and some updates, we expect the same to carry over to the Fortuner as well. That said, here are some key changes we expect to see in the updated Toyota Fortuner.

Styling Enhancement –

The Toyota Fortuner is expected to get a different styling, including a new grille, revised headlamps and tail lamps, redesigned bumpers, and new alloys. However, the model will still retain its muscular, rugged appearance.

Several Feature Additions –

Based on the new Toyota Hilux, we expect the upcoming updated Toyota Fortuner to receive several feature additions. This includes a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and more.

To Get ADAS –

Previously, we reported that the new Toyota Fortuner might feature the most-needed feature. Currently, it is one of the most needed safety features among buyers, and this could be one of the exciting inclusions in the updated ADAS.

What Else?

Apart from these changes, the updated Toyota Fortuner is expected to come with the same powertrain options as the current model. It is powered by a 2.7-litre (164bhp & 245 Nm) petrol engine and a 2.8-litre (201bhp & 500 Nm) diesel engine, and it also gets a 48V mild-hybrid engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT gearbox.

Regarding its launch and pricing, we believe the updated Toyota Fortuner could launch in 2027, and the price could increase by around Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variants. At present, the Toyota Fortuner is priced between Rs 41.63 lakh and 62.47 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
