Hyundai Venue vs Hyundai Bayon – What Is It?

Hyundai has updated the Venue with a generational update; the model now focuses on better cabin space and more tech. However, by late 2026, we expect the brand to launch its new Bayon-based SUV. Earlier, we expected the Bayon to be positioned in the sub-4m segment. Industry reports suggest that the new Hyundai SUV will be 4.18m long, positioning itself between the Hyundai Venue and the Hyundai Creta.

Moreover, unlike the boxy design of the Hyundai Venue, the Hyundai Bayon’s styling will be more similar to that of the i20. Apart from the design and styling, the model will have better cabin space than the Venue. So, if you don’t like the current trend of boxy SUVs, the Bayon could be your new purchase. But the design and space shouldn’t be the only factors on the checklist when buying a new car.

Features

The Bayon’s feature list is expected to be similar to Venue’s offerings. It includes an ADAS suite, an electric sunroof, powered driver seats, dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and more. However, Hyundai could add some more features to make it more interesting and competitive than the Venue. In addition to its features, the Hyundai Bayon is expected to be as safe as the Venue.

Powertrain

For India, the Hyundai Bayon is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. The NA petrol engine will be paired with Hyundai’s HY-CNG (dual-CNG setup) to improve fuel efficiency. With the CNG option, the Bayon will be the brand’s first mid-size SUV to offer the CNG powertrain. That said, if you are looking for a CNG-fitted vehicle, the Bayon might tick that list as your next purchase. Not only can Hyundai Venue buyers look at the Bayon as their new purchase, but Maruti Fronx, Baleno, or even Brezza buyers can also see it as a potential upgrade.
