1. Baleno Facelift – Automatic Cars Under Rs 10 Lakh!

Recently, a test mule of the Baleno was spotted, suggesting that Maruti is working on something new. So, what could it be? Well, apart from a basic facelift, rumours suggest that Maruti will likely introduce a hybrid powertrain with the Baleno. With a new hybrid powertrain, the Baleno will likely offer quite impressive fuel economy, attracting even more buyers than before. Maruti is expected to introduce the hybrid tech with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, which will also be offered with an automatic gearbox.
It is likely that the existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine may get phased out and replaced by Maruti’s new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine seen in the Dzire, which will also support the hybrid tech. As it is a facelift, we also expect to see a few additional features like ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, a larger infotainment screen and much more. We expect the Baleno facelift to be priced between Rs 7.30 lakh and Rs 13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Maruti is expected to launch the Baleno facelift and hybrid by the end of this year or early next year.

2. Tiago Facelift

The most affordable Tata car was spotted a few times in heavy camouflage. This suggested that the Tiago will soon get a facelift, which could include a few cosmetic changes along with a few new features. Expected features include automatic climate control,a fully digital instrument cluster and a few more. The Tiago is one of the most affordable cars to offer an automatic transmission. Moreover, it is also one of the cheapest cars to offer an AMT with CNG, combining convenience and fuel economy. Tata also offers the AMT with Tiago’s 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. We expect Tata to price the Tiago facelift between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Tata may launch the updated hatchback by the end of this year.
3. Maruti Tata Punch Rival (Y43) – Automatic Cars Under Rs 10 Lakh

The Tata Punch has been one of the best entry-level SUVs in India, offering a great value for money proposition. And to cause the Punch some trouble, Maruti seems to be working on a new compact SUV, codenamed the Y43. The brand recently discontinued the Ignis, and we believe Maruti will introduce a new Punch rival to replace it. It will be the brand’s entry-level SUV, focusing on offering the best value for money.
The Y43 is expected to get features like an electric sunroof, a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera and much more. Maruti will likely offer a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine along with an AMT option, which is seen in the Dzire. Known for offering very fuel-efficient cars, a CNG option in this SUV is highly likely. We expect this SUV to be priced anywhere between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Maruti could launch the Punch by 2027.

One of the much-awaited Hyundai cars is the Bayon, a crossover-style SUV that could put up a tough fight against the Punch. The Bayon will likely get a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine as well as a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, both of which will be paired with an automatic transmission.
Rumours suggest that the Bayon will also be offered with a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which will later be offered with other Hyundai and Kia cars. The Bayon is expected to get features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats and much more. We expect the Hyundai Bayon to carry a price tag ranging from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The Bayon is expected to launch by the end of 2026.

One of the best-selling SUVs in India will soon be getting an update, and it is going to be an interesting one. The Fronx will soon be getting a facelift along with a brand new powertrain, which is expected to deliver around 35+kmpl. Rumours suggest that the Fronx will soon get a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid powertrain, a series hybrid setup, where the engine will act as a generator and power the battery, and the battery will power the car through the electric motor.
This setup will likely be paired with either an e-CVT or an AMT. Along with the new powertrain, the Fronx facelift will also get new features like ventilated front seats, a larger touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster and much more. We expect the Fronx facelift to carry a price tag ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We believe Maruti could launch the Fronx hybrid by the end of this year.
