Two New Marutis Spotted

In the video, we can see two heavily camouflaged cars being tested out on a highway. While one of them is the Maruti Brezza, the other one is quite intriguing. With these spy shots, two key details have been confirmed about two new Marutis. So, let’s dive into the details!

New Maruti 7-Seater?

We believe that Maruti is working on a brand-new 7-seater, codenamed YMC, and the spotted test mule could be that under wraps. While no clear details can be seen, the overall silhouette of the test car does not resemble any existing Maruti. Moreover, the absence of an exhaust hints towards an EV. This led us to believe that this could be the Maruti YMC concept, finally in the flesh. The taillights are distinctive and unique, and do not represent any existing Maruti. The silhouette also confirms it is long, and we expect it to be around 4.4 to 4.6 meters.
While no other details have been confirmed, the YMC is supposed to be based on Maruti’s eVX platform, which underpins the e Vitara. We expect Maruti to offer two battery pack options with this 7-seater: a 49kWh battery pack (440km) and a 61kWh battery pack (543km). Maruti could offer features like a large 10.25-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, and much more. We can expect it to be priced between Rs 17.50 lakh and Rs 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The brand could introduce the 7-seater by the end of this year.

Maruti Brezza Facelift

Maruti has consistently been testing the Brezza and has been spotted multiple times. However, based on the latest spy shots, we can confirm that it will get an underbody CNG tank, similar to the one on the Victoris. This will allow for unrestricted boot space with the impressive fuel efficiency figures. Apart from the CNG tank, we can expect to see a few cosmetic upgrades and some new features. Expected features include a larger touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats and much more.
The Brezza facelift is also expected to get a brand new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that Maruti has been working on. This will allow the Brezza to make the most out of the GST 2.0 norms and price the SUV aggressively. Maruti could launch the SUV in the latter half of the year and could be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
So, which of these Marutis are you excited about?
