Tata Motors will launch 5 new models across different segments and price points. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the upcoming Tata cars and everything you must know about these models.

1. Tata Sierra EV – Upcoming Tata Car 2026


After launching Sierra ICE, Tata Motors will launch the electric version of this SUV. The Sierra EV is expected to come with a 65kWh or 75kWh battery pack option, similar to the Harrier EV. We expect the range of this model to be around 500-550 km. Just like the Harrier, we are also expecting that the Sierra EV to come with both rear-wheel-drive and QWD (quad-wheel-drive) setups.


Talking about the features, expected to include a triple-screen setup, Level 2+ ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a premium JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos. In addition to these features, the electric model could also include V2L and V2V charging, which are also likely to be included.
Prices are expected to start from around Rs 20-28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Launch is expected for mid-2026.

2. Tata Safari EV


Alongside the Sierra EV, Tata will also launch the Safari EV. The Safari EV will be Tata’s first-ever 7-seater electric SUV. It is expected to use 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack options. Similar to the Harrier EV, expect the Safari EV to also get a rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setup.
Talking about the features, we expect it to get a 540-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, ventilated and powered front seats, ventilated rear seats (if offered with a 6-seater option), a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, a 12.25-inch digital driver’s display, and much more.
We expect it to be priced around Rs 22 lakh and Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Production is expected to begin around August 2026, ahead of its festive-season launch.

3. Tata Nexon EV Next Gen – Upcoming Tata Car 2026


The Tata Nexon EV has been Tata’s best-selling electric vehicle. Following this, the next-generation Nexon is expected to launch in the Indian market in 2027, along with the electric version. The next-gen Nexon EV is expected to be built on Tata’s updated Acti. EV platform with improved battery options likely carrying forward the existing 30kWh and 45kWh packs, with a potentially larger option offering better real-world range beyond the current 489 km. Expect a completely overhauled interior with a new dashboard layout, a larger touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and an updated ADAS suite. Design changes could include a refreshed front fascia, a redesigned rear profile, and new alloy wheels with improved fit and finish.
Expected to be priced around Rs 14 lakh and Rs 19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Launch likely in 2027, though more details may surface by late 2026.
4. Tata Avinya X


The Avinya range will be a family of electric vehicles, not a single model, and unlike other Tata EVs, it will have no ICE counterparts. That said, the first model under the Avinya brand is expected to be the Avinya X.
The Avinya X SUV is expected to come with 90kWh and 100kWh battery packs, built on a localised version of Jaguar Land Rover’s 800V EMA platform. The range is expected to comfortably exceed 550 km. Expected features include a triple-screen display, a glass roof, Level 2+ ADAS, wireless phone charging, multi-zone climate control, pop-out door handles, wraparound tail lamps connected by an LED bar and V2L and V2V functions
We expect it to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Launch is anticipated by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

5. Tata Tiago EV Facelift – Upcoming Tata Car 2026


The Tiago EV has been India’s most affordable electric car since its launch, and with the facelift, Tata aims to refresh the formula with meaningful upgrades. The facelift is expected to feature a revised front fascia, new bumpers, redesigned wheels, a large floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. A sunroof and 360-degree camera could also be added.
The current Tiago EV comes with a 24 kWh Battery (Long Range): Certified range of 315 km, with real-world estimates around 187-214 km. whereas 19.2 kWh Battery (Medium Range): Certified range of 250 km. Rumours suggest that Tata Motors could introduce larger battery packs, likely sourced from the updated Punch EV facelift, which could push the range beyond 300 km. Expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh and Rs 11.2 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Launch is anticipated by mid-2026.
