Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Spotted!

The new-gen Hyundai Creta has been spotted being tested in Korea, and we can note some major updates. The Creta seems to have grown substantially in size, thanks to its new K3 platform (also used in the Seltos). And thanks to its bigger proportions, the Creta boasts good road presence as well. The boxy stance and split headlamps are some elements identical to the outgoing model, but otherwise, it is a major design overhaul.

While the Creta may share the platform with the Seltos, the interiors of these cars are worlds apart. From the spyshots, we can see that the Creta gets Hyundai’s new PLEOS infotainment screen. What’s so special about this infotainment system is that the OTA updates are not limited to OS updates, but also to mechanical updates like the powertrain and suspension. This dashboard setup was first introduced with the Ioniq 3, and now the next-gen Creta will also get it. You can also see that Hyundai has ditched the dual-screen setup in favour of a larger infotainment screen and a slim digital driver’s display. Furthermore, we can also spot that the gear shifter has been relocated to the driver’s column.

New-Gen Hyundai Creta – What Else?

The outgoing Creta remains one of the most feature-packed SUVs on the market, and the feature list will only improve with the next-gen model. We expect features such as level-2+ ADAS, panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, ventilated and powered driver’s seat, electric tailgate, and much more.
As for the powertrain, it will adopt the same engine options as the current one –
- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol
- 1.5-litre diesel
- 1.5-litre NA petrol
Gearbox options would include a 7-speed DCT, a CVT, a 6-speed MT, and a 6-speed AT. Furthermore, speculation also suggests that Hyundai is working on a hybrid powertrain, which will be mated to the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine.

New-Gen Hyundai Creta – Expected Pricing & Launch

We could see the Creta being launched in the early months of 2027. It will be the biggest update the Creta has received since its launch. With the next-gen, the interiors will get roomier, while safety will be significantly improved.
But with this improved platform, the pricing could also see a Rs 50,000 – Rs 75,000 price hike over the current Rs 12.82 lakh – Rs 24.48 Lakh price range (on-road, Mumbai).
