Like its predecessor, the new Sierra looks quite the SUV, thanks to its tall and wide stance, and is sure to turn heads on the streets. The wheelbase is 2730mm, allowing for better rear seat comfort. Adding to the SUV’s charm are the massive 19-inch wheels. The Sierra gets a massive boot space of 622 litres, adding to the practicality of the SUV.

Underpinning the Sierra is a new ARGOS platform, which is capable of AWD and multiple powertrain options. This platform, according to Tata, is built for safety, even by future standards. To showcase the safety prowess of the Sierra, Tata crashed two Sierras in a head-on collision to imitate real-world crashes. The new platform is also capable of accommodating 7 seats. Adding to the Sierra’s character is 205mm ground clearance and impressive off-road capable specs.

One of the most awaited aspects of the Sierra was the engine options. Tata’s new 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine (158bhp & 255Nm) has debuted with the Sierra. This engine has been paired with a 6-speed AT. Tata has debuted another new engine, a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (104bhp & 145Nm). Design – Tata Sierra Launched

We have kept the best for the last, and as we’ve been over the design many times, we all know what it looks like. Nevertheless, the new Sierra has tried to imitate its predecessors’ wraparound glass design. On the outside, the Sierra’s boxy design and proper SUV styling elements give it an imposing stance. Inside the Sierra, the interior and overall cabin layout are unlike any Tata car. The dashboard design, a 4-spoke steering wheel, and the material quality are quite unique and premium. The panoramic glass roof extends all the way behind, bringing an airy feeling into the cabin. That said, it will be interesting to see how the Sierra stands out on the road.

So, would you buy the new Sierra?
