Sportier designs on cars are favoured amongst the youths. To cater to such a crowd, Hyundai Creta’s rival has come up with an idea. The idea is nothing else but a new edition, which makes the SUV look more sportier.

Oh, but we haven’t named the SUV yet, right? It is the coupe counter to the Creta, Citroen Basalt. Its regular model might not interest you, but this edition might make you check out this SUV.

Citroen has revealed a Sportier version of the Basalt at the currently happening Sao Paulo Motor Show. The design is called the Vision concept, but the model was showcased with a yellow shade, which was its Hero colour during launch back in 2024.

The changes that might catch your attention include new 18-inch alloy wheels with petal like design (for a second we remembered the Curvv), Vision badging on the front doors, red brake callipers, red accents to give it a make it look different, new bumpers and more. Now, Citroen just doesn’t want it to look sporty but to be too. We can see the car has also been lowered, to add to its sportiness.

Interiors are yet to be revealed, however, we can expect this edition to be based on the top-spec variant of the SUV. That said, some features on offer can include – dual screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation, connected car tech, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, automatic AC and more in its package.

The powertrain details too are under the wraps, but this SUV being a sporty model. We expect it to be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (108bhp & 205Nm), skipping the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. The transmission duties will be handled by 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AT gearbox unit.
