Maruti Ertiga Facelift – Price, Features, Mileage, Launch Date

New Maruti Ertiga – Exterior

The new Ertiga will have new exterior styling, so you can expect the car to grow in length. This will have 180-190mm of ground clearance and we will finally see LED headlamps on the Ertiga in the new model. The Ertiga will get a new front grille and the fog lamps are likely to be LEDs too. There wil be 16-inch alloy wheels and there shall also be large size windows too. Maruti is looking to retain the same styling of the Ertiga. Even at the back, we can expect connected LED tail lamps like the Victoris. Maruti is getting some competition from Kia and this will be their move to launch a new 7-seater that dominates the segment.

What’s new inside?

With its affordable price and spacious interior, the Ertiga is currently one of the most popular MPV in the country. While the MPV received its last update in 2022, the model now feels outdated. However, dealer-end rumours suggest that Maruti is currently planning to introduce a mid-life update to its most loved family-friendly MPV. While 6-airbags is set to become standard on the model, we expect the model to undergo some cosmetic changes. Expect the upcoming Maruti Ertiga to offer new features like an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charger, bigger touchscreen and more on the inside. While on the exteriors, it might get new LED headlights and DRL.

Powertrain-wise, expect the model to continue with the same 1.5-litre petrol and CNG engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox option. However, reports suggest a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine is under development to replace the ageing 1.5-litre unit. However, the new engine is only expected to go on the model by 2026/2027.

Launch Date?

Currently, the brand has not yet announced a timeline for launching the updated Maruti Ertiga in the country. While the facelift will arrive before the end of 2026, expect the new-generation model to go on sale sometime in 2027. More details about the new model will be revealed as we near the launch timeline.

Maruti Ertiga will Face Hyundai Competition

Maruti at the moment has Renault Triber as its lower end competition and then there is the C3 Aircross also. However, the Kia Clavis Carens is competing with its higher variants and even the XL6. However, Hyundai is working on a new 7-seater MPV that will give a tough time to Maruti Ertiga facelift. This is when Maruti will want to come back strongly as Hyundai will offer CNG and even maybe consider a hybrid option too. Also, Hyundai will look at more power and performance too.
