Well, what we are referring to here is a new issue that has occurred in the Maruti Grand Vitara. Maruti has recalled about 39,506 units of the Grand Vitara to rectify and fix this issue. This issue has occurred in the models manufactured between December 9, 2024 and April 29, 2025. Maruti claims that the fuel level indicator and the warning light in the instrument cluster in some of the units may not reflect an accurate fuel status.

The brand will be contacting owners of faulty Grand Vitara models and fixing the issue free of cost. This is the 4th and the biggest instance of the Grand Vitara being recalled by Maruti. Maruti will inspect and replace the necessary components to fix this issue. Previously, the SUV was recalled for a potential issue in the rear seat belt mounting brackets. Another instance where Maruti issued a recall of the Grand Vitara involved the front seat belt’s shoulder height adjuster assembly.

The Grand Vitara is one of Maruti’s premium offerings from its Nexa chain of dealerships. It has a good deal of features along with multiple powertrain options. Features include a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-inch touchscreen, a head-up display, a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats and much more. The Grand Vitara gets a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (103bhp & 139Nm), and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine (116bhp & 122Nm). The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine also comes with an option for CNG. The SUV carries a price tag ranging from Rs 12.68 Lakh to Rs 23.09 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
