SUVs Launching In 2026 – Renault Duster

Renault has officially confirmed to launch the Duster SUV on 26th January 2026. The SUV will be rivalling against some popular cars like Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara & Victoris, Toyota HyRyder and more.
Making its comeback after 4 years, the new Renault Duster will get some premium features including – a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, dual zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, 6-airbag standard, 360-degree camera and more.
Though the brand has not shared the powertrain details yet. We expect it to be offered with the popular 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, or a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. On the other hand, sources have now confirmed that the SUV will also be offered with a strong hybrid powertrain.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift –

Mahindra might also launch the XUV700 facelift in the coming year. The updated model might come with a new 7XO nomenclature, as the Indian automaker did with its earlier model. Its launch details are scarce as of now as the automaker is currently focused on launching the XEV 9S.
The XUV700 facelift is expected to see some design and feature enhancements. Mahindra might offer some features from its EV models straight to its ICE flagship SUV. Some expected features to be offered include – triple screen display, powered tailgate, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo, an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated rear seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Level 2+ ADAS and more.
The XUV700 is very unlikely to get any changes in its powertrain setup. It will continue with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (197bhp & 380Nm) & 2.2-litre diesel engine (182bhp & 450Nm). Both these engines can be opted for either with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT gearbox.

SUVs Launching In 2026 – Nissan Tekton

Nissan has also confirmed the launch of Tekton in the next year. Just like the Duster, this Nissan SUV will be positioned against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara & Victoris, Toyota HyRyder.
The Japanese automaker has already revealed the design details of this SUV – which makes it look like a Baby-Patrol. But the interiors are still kept under the wraps. However, we expect the SUV to carry the feature list from the Duster SUV, which includes – 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless connectivity, ventilated and powered seats, panoramic sunroof, ADAS, 360-degree camera and more.
Just like the features, the SUV might get the powertrain setup too from the Duster. Expect the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, or a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine to do the work.

Honda is planning to enter the sub-4m space with a new SUV. It will be rivaling the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO and others.
The model is expected to be revealed in the coming year. However, the brand is currently tight-lipped on sharing any details of this SUV. According to us, the SUV is expected to be based on the Amaze platform and share the same feature list. But, we expect to see some additional features like a larger touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, a sunroof, a digital instrument cluster, and more on this SUV. Additionally, the new SUV is expected to boast a boxy shape for better cabin space.
Just like the Amaze, we can expect to see the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine in the new SUV. However, Honda may tune the engine to offer better performance. A retrofitted CNG kit might also be on the cards later on.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid –

Another launch to look out for is the hybrid version of Maruti Fronx. The SUV is likely to be launched by the mid of 2026.
This new hybrid powertrain will use a 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine along with an electric motor. As Maruti is developing it, this hybrid powertrain will be even more reliable and easier to maintain. Maruti’s forte has always been fuel efficiency. With the new hybrid powertrain, Maruti could achieve around 35 kmpl.
Along with the powertrain, the Fronx will also benefit from new features and an updated design. The Fronx is a good-looking car even now, and we expect Maruti to make very few changes to the exterior design. It may feature new “Hybrid” badging to signify its new powertrain. However, ADAS might not be on offer to keep the SUV affordable. It is likely that the Fronx may get minute tweaks on the inside, but these won’t be major changes.
