The iconic Tata Sierra has now finally made its comeback after 2 decades in India. At the event held today, the Indian automaker has finally revealed the model that will be hitting the Indian roads shortly. Let’s have a closer look on the model –

Tata Sierra Unveiled – What’s In It?

Tata has officially unveiled the Sierra revealing its design, features and a few more details. Like its predecessor, the new Sierra sports a boxy design language with elements like a blacked-out grille, a connected LED DRL, bumper mounted LED projector headlights, a connected LED taillight, 19-inch alloy wheels, and much more. The boxy design along with contrasting black design elements help the Sierra stand out. 

Moving on to the interior, Tata has debuted its new interior philosophy called ‘Life Space that imitates a living room on wheels. Tata’s TheatrePro layout was also unveiled at the event, showcasing Tata’s first ever triple screen layout. You can see how Tata has tried to replicate the older Sierra’s signature glass-roof, with a panoramic sunroof in the new SUV. The cabin also gets a dual tone beige and grey colour scheme with a few metallic elements for a premium touch.

In terms of features, the Sierra gets

  • Triple screen layout
  • Powered and ventilated front seats
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • 360-degree camera, 
  • Electronic parking brake
  • Rear sunshades
  • Extendable thigh support for front seats
  • 12-speaker JBL Black Sound System with Dolby ATMOS
  • Dashboard mounted SonicShaft soundbar

Everything of these is expected at a price range between Rs 11 lakh & Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Powertrain

Tata has officially announced the debut of its 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (168bhp & 280Nm) with the Sierra. This engine will also be offered in the Harrier and Safari that are scheduled to launch on December 9. The Sierra will also get a new 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and the tried and tested 1.5-litre diesel engine.
