The Tiago Facelift is expected in late 2026, with a design refresh, tech, and feature updates. The vehicle may not go into a complete mechanical overhaul. The exterior would likely include new headlamps, revised DRLs, an updated grille, and new alloy wheel designs for a fresh look. The interior is expected to feature a larger touchscreen, an improved UI, and a digital instrument cluster. On the features side, it could include a 360-degree camera, sunroof, and connected-car tech, which are expected for the segment’s competition. The most interesting upgrade would be in the Tiago EV. An improved 30kWh battery with a better range is expected compared to the existing version. The powertrain for the ICE would likely remain a 1.2L petrol and CNG, focusing on efficiency rather than performance.

The Tiago facelift could be priced from ₹5.6 lakh to ₹ 9 lakh on-road in Mumbai. The launch could be expected mid-to-late 2026

According to industry reports, Tata Motors could introduce an AWD and a CNG version of its iconic Tata Sierra. The Sierra comes with the ARGOS (All-terrain Ready, Omni-Energy, and Geometry Scalable Architecture) platform, which supports AWD, CNG, and Electric powertrains. While the Electric variant AWD could be here around mid 2026, the ICE AWD variant could reach a bit late. The ICE AWD is expected to be paired with the 1.5-litre Turbo-Petrol ‘Hyperion’ engine or the 1.5-litre Diesel paired with an automatic transmission.

For the CNG version, the brand could use its Tata i-CNG setup, which is expected to use a dual-cylinder configuration, leaving the boot free. The CNG version is speculated to get the 1.5 Litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 106 bhp and 145 NM of Torque. Another speculation is that with the Sierra CNG, Tata might introduce a 7DCT(Dual Clutch Transmission), which could make it the segment’s first Automatic CNG SUV.

The Sierra AWD is expected to be priced around 26 Lakh on-road in Mumbai, while the CNG variant could be priced around 23 Lakh on-road.

Both these vehicles could be launched in India by early 2027.

The Safari EV could also get a better, more polished infotainment system and digital cockpit with connected tech and OTA updates.

Performance will be significantly better than that of the ICE Safari due to the instant-torque EV setup. The design would remain similar but would include EV-specific elements, such as a closed grille and aero wheels. The Safari EV is expected to come with a price tag of ₹ 23 lakh to ₹ 32 lakh on-road in Mumbai. The vehicle could be launched in the festive season of 2026.
