Mahindra XUV 7XO Hybrid!

The Mahindra XUV 7XO offers a plethora of features, a comfortable cabin and unmatched performance. However, Mahindra seems to be going one step further to add mileage to its forte. So, how does Mahindra plan to do that? Industry sources suggest that Mahindra is working on a new hybrid powertrain for the Mahindra XUV 7XO. Rumours suggest that Mahindra will offer a 1.5-litre petrol engine along with a battery pack, to drastically improve fuel efficiency as well as offer decent performance.
While the performance figures are under wraps, we can expect the 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain to produce around 180bhp and 300Nm of torque. This engine will likely be sold alongside the existing 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.2-litre diesel engine. Being a hybrid, we can expect a claimed fuel economy of around 30kmpl with a realistic fuel efficiency of around 22-25kmpl. Mahindra will likely introduce the XUV 7XO hybrid in 2027. We expect it to be offered with a price tag ranging from Rs 27 lakh to Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). But what else will it have to offer?

What Else?

We believe that the XUV 7XO hybrid will get new badges or details to signify that it is a hybrid. Mahindra could offer a colour or two that could be specific to the hybrid variant. While we expect the XUV 7XO hybrid to get the same feature list, Mahindra could offer a few additional features to add more value to the car. The existing XUV 7XO gets a slew of features like a triple screen setup, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 540-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, autopark and much more. With the hybrid powertrain, Mahindra could offer e-AWD, adding more functionality and a better driving experience.
