Top 10 Electric Two-Wheeler Brands Apr 2026 – TVS Tops, Ola Improves

The steady sales momentum from FY26 continued in Apr 2026 as well with most brands registering decent YoY growth in retail volumes

The electric two-wheeler industry grew at a rapid pace in FY26 with sales of around 14 lakh units. The strong momentum continued in the first month of FY27, i.e. April 2026, as a total of 1.49 lakh electric two-wheelers were sold with a YoY growth of 61 percent. Just so you know, the overall e2w sales in April 2025 stood at 92,536 units. In fact, the monthly sales of Apr 2026 are the second best after Mar 2026 since the beginning of CY2026 in the Indian market. Lets take a look at the brand-wise electric two-wheeler sales in Apr 2026 in India.

TVS Motor Company continued to rule the roost with volumes of 37,661 units in Apr 2026. It posted a sensational YoY growth of 96 percent as 19,176 units were retailed during the same month last year. The company has a market share of 25 percent in the electric two-wheeler segment. For those asking, the Hosur-based two-wheeler brand had achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in Mar 2026 with 49,719 units.

Bajaj Auto took the second position with 32,883 units as demand for the Chetak EV continued to grow. It recorded a healthy YoY growth of 72 percent as 19,162 units were sold in Apr 2025. The company now commands a market share of 22 percent in the electric two-wheeler segment. Bajaj had registered its highest-ever monthly sales in Mar 2026 with 46,544 units.

Ather Energy secured the third position with sales of 27,024 units in Apr 2026. It witnessed an exhilarating YoY growth of 103 percent as Apr 2025 sales stood at 13,332 units. Ather is the only pure EV brand in the top 3 as both TVS and Bajaj are legacy players which also produce ICE-powered models. The Bengaluru-based EV startup owns a market share of 18 percent in e2w industry.

The fourth position was held by Hero’s electric arm Vida with sales of 15,230 units in Apr 2026. The company touched double digit (10%) market share in the electric two-wheeler segment while posting an exorbitant YoY growth of 148 percent. It sold 6,150 units in Apr 2025. The fifth spot was captured by Ola Electric as the brand is on the road to recovery with retail volumes of 12,166 units. Though YoY sales declined, it is the best-ever sales for Ola in the last 6 months.

Greaves Electric Mobility, which retails Ampere range of electric scooters, was at the sixth position with sales of 6,884 units. River Mobility, BGauss Auto, and Simple Energy occupied the seventh, eighth and ninth positions with sales of 3,198 units, 3,085 units, and 1,188 units, respectively. Last but not the least, Bounce Electric grabbed the tenth position with 1,077 units in Apr 2026.
