Armoured Tata SUV

One of the key reasons anyone buys a Tata car is for its safety. However, we found a Tata SUV that has been armoured, making it safer than anything around its price. The modifications done are quite interesting considering it gets bulletproof tyres, armoured windows and whatnot. We came across a video on Instagram, where a Tata Harrier has been modified into an armoured vehicle. However, it looks exactly like a stock Harrier. So, what has been changed? Let’s take a look!

Bulletproof Tata Harrier!

The Instagram user armoured_vehicles_ claims that this Harrier is completely bulletproof and can withstand firing from an AK47. To achieve this, the Harrier has been installed with thick bulletproof glass all around. To further enhance the safety, the SUV has now been reinforced with steel all across the car. What’s interesting is that the Harrier has also been installed with run-flat tyres, which run for a long time even after being shot at. The host says that all of these modifications combined will make the Harrier bulletproof, which is quite impressive.
However, all of these modifications come at a hefty price tag – ₹10 lakh. Now this may seem like a massive amount; however, if you really need a bulletproof SUV, this could be a good choice. To bear in mind, these modifications add a lot of weight to the SUV, which could affect the performance and fuel economy. As the modified Harrier does not get any performance upgrades, the 2.0-litre diesel engine (168bhp & 350Nm) might just seem underpowered. That said, this modification may not be something you need, but it is quite interesting as a project.
So, would you get this bulletproof Harrier?
