New Royal Enfield Rival!

Over the years, brands like Jawa and Yezdi have tried to cause some trouble to the popular Royal Enfield Classic 350, but failed to make an impact. However, Triumph will soon be bringing in a new motorcycle, which we believe has the potential to dethrone the infamous Classic 350. And it is none other than the Bonneville. Just like the Classic 350, which is the face of the Royal Enfield brand, the Bonneville is the most popular nameplate for Triumph. And now, Triumph is expected to launch the Bonneville 350 to take on the best-selling RE. Until now, Triumph was sailing along with its 400cc offerings.
However, when the Government announced the GST 2.0 reforms, all the bikes with engines over 350cc were shaken up. Somehow, Bajaj had managed to absorb the GST 2.0 reforms to retain the prices of all KTM, Triumph and Bajaj bikes. But that couldn’t be done for too long. And now we know that Triumph will be downsizing all its 400cc bikes to 350cc and introducing them gradually between April and the festive season. But what’s more interesting is that our sources suggest that Triumph will bring in its Trojan Horse, the Bonneville, to obliterate its rivals. And we expect to see the Bonneville 350 to enter the Indian market by May 2026. So, what can we expect from this upcoming Classic 350 rival?

Triumph Bonneville 350 – What To Expect?

For many decades, the Triumph Bonneville has been an iconic bike, popular for its timeless design and impressive performance. The bigger Bonneville’s are distinctively Triumph, with exquisite build quality, a premium and retro design and everything you look for in a modern classic bike. We can expect Triumph to maintain the modern retro design with a few new-age features. So, it is likely that the Bonneville 350 will resemble the bigger Bonneville in terms of overall roadster style silhouette, chrome accents and a strong design statement. In terms of features, we could expect to see all-LED lighting, USD front forks, a semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and the list goes on.
At the heart of the matter, as we know, will be a 350cc engine. It is likely that this will be the same engine as the existing 398cc engine with a smaller bore or stroke. We can expect this 350cc engine to produce around 34bhp and 35Nm of torque along with a 6-speed gearbox. As Triumph is downsizing the engine to make the most out of the GST 2.0 reforms, the brand will aim to price the Bonneville 350 aggressively. Considering that this new bike will take on the likes of the Classic 350 and the Jawa 42, we can expect a price tag of around Rs 2.20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It will be interesting to see whether the brand launches these bikes in May 2026.
