RTX is now one of the most advanced, value-for-money motorcycles in the segment. Utilising the RT-XD4 engine platform, it offers class-leading power and a suite of electronics usually reserved for middleweight ADVs. Comes with a 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 35.5 bhp and 28.5 Nm of peak torque. RTX, being an adventure tourer, comes with a pair of alloy wheels for long tours and gets a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on the top-spec BTO variant. 

Key features include a 5-inch TFT display with navigation, cruise control, traction control, and 4 riding modes: Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally. RTX gets a steel trellis frame, 41mm USD forks, and 200mm of ground clearance. However, the RTX 300, TVS’s first of its kind, is facing delivery delays, and TVS hopes to rectify the issue soon. Priced between Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the RTX is one of the most value for money ADV in its segment.

2. KTM 250 Adventure

The KTM 250 Adventure is a high-performance choice for riders who enjoy a high-revving engine. It shares suspension architecture with the KTM 390 Adventure, giving it excellent stability for touring and bad roads. The 250 Adventure comes with a 248.8 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces a peak power of 31 bhp and 24 Nm of Torque. Features include off-road ABS, a slipper clutch, WP Apex suspension, and a quick shifter.

The Adventure 250 has 200mm of ground clearance to tackle your mild off-road needs. That said, the Adventure 250 doesn’t come with a serious off-road-spoke wheel setup, but it does get a durable, touring-friendly alloy wheel for the purpose. In the lineup, the 390X and the 250 Adventure are the two with alloys and are more road-oriented tourer siblings. The KTM 250 Adventure carries a price tag of Rs 2.85 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The V-Strom SX is known for its reliability and refinement. It features the SOCS (Suzuki Oil Cooling System), allowing the engine to remain lightweight while maintaining smooth, long-distance touring capability. 249cc, single cylinder oil-cooled engine that produces 26.1 bhp and 22.2 Nm of Torque. Features include the Suzuki Easy Start System, Bluetooth-enabled digital console with turn-by-turn navigation. The reliable engine and alloy wheel setup are all tuned for touring on tarmac, with mild off-roading when needed. Telescopic suspension is a let-down, but the engine and its behaviour are welcoming.

4. Yezdi Adventure

This ad targets riders who opt for an ADV from a classic brand. The latest one has improved thermal management and low-end torque, making it easier to manage in traffic and on trails. The V-Strom comes with a 334cc, Single-Cylinder, Liquid-Cooled, DOHC engine that produces a peak power of 29.7 bhp and 29.8 Nm of torque. The motorcycle has three ABS modes, Road, Rain, and Off-road, a tilt-adjustable digital console and standard tank cages. The Yezdi ADV gets 220mm of ground clearance. The Yezdi Adventure comes at 2.43 lakhs on road, Mumbai

The XPulse 210 is widely regarded as one of the best lightweight trail-friendly adventure motorcycles. It uses the liquid-cooled DOHC engine from the Hero Karizma XMR platform. The XPulse comes with a 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces around 25.2 bhp and 20.7 Nm of Torque. Has switchable dual-channel ABS, LED projector headlamps, a lightweight design, and 21-inch front wheels with 210mm of suspension travel and 220mm of ground clearance. Owners have reported some reliability issues and minor electrical failures, but for the price, the Yezdi Adventure delivers all the grit you would expect from an ADV. The Xpulse 210 is priced at Rs 1.92 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)
