Skoda Superb Mileage – New Record!

Skoda will be launching the diesel powered Superb in India very shortly, say by the first half of 2026. However, just ahead of its launch, the car has surprised everyone by delivering a mileage more than a Maruti! How?
In this drive, the driver named Miko Marczyk (2025 World Rally Champion) set out to find how far a car can go on a single tank. And for this, the car chosen was Skoda Superb – obviously for its huge 66-litre fuel tank capacity.
The car used for the same was powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 147bhp & 360Nm paired to a 7-speed DSG. Now, in this test Miko covered a total of 2,831 km across European roads with an average fuel consumption translating around 40kmpl. According to the brochure, the model has a claimed mileage of 20.8kmpl in Poland.

Additionally, he also suggests that drivers use brakes as little as possible, and ease of the acceleration on time to go the distance.

Skoda has already confirmed to launch this diesel-powered Skoda Superb in India. The model is expected to hit the shores by the first half of 2026 and is expected to be sold between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 70 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Here are some tips suggested by the World Rally Champion for someone who wants the best out of their car.
