Skoda Kushaq Facelift – What’s New?

Indians have loved the Kylaq, why? Its affordability. As a result, the Kushaq sales have diminished – despite being positioned in different segment. To counter this, the brand is planning to update its Creta rival. While the launch timeline has not been shared, it shouldn’t take too long. So, what will be changed with the new model?

Expected Changes

On the design-front, we expect very minor changes that include – tweaked headlamps and taillamps, redesigned bumpers, new alloys and other cosmetic changes. 

The interiors might also get updated with a new dashboard layout, expect some improvements in terms of quality. The expected features making its way on the model include – panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, bigger touchscreen infotainment, ADAS and more. Yes, it can be the first Skoda model to debut ADAS in India.

Powertrains

The facelifted model will continue to offer a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Transmission options include – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed TC (1.0-litre engine), and a 7-speed DSG (1.5-litre engine). However, Skoda has already planned to replace the 6-speed TC with a 8-speed TC gearbox.

 Also it will be introducing a 6-speed manual with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine to make it more affordable. After Skoda introduces the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine in the lower trims, it will make an exciting deal for the buyers – and might see it as a powerful and better option compared to the Kylaq.

Launch & Price

Until now, Skoda has not yet revealed any specific launch timeline for the model. However, we expect it to be launched by early 2026. With new feature additions and cosmetic changes, the model will likely see a price hike of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh depending on variants.
