New Hyundai SUV Spied?
We recently spotted Hyundai’s latest SUV on Mumbai roads. The car holds a boxy, upright stance with rugged and muscly proportions. The SUV also seems to be featuring the IONIQ 5-inspired LED taillights. While Hyundai has kept the full details under wraps, these spy shots offer a tantalising glimpse of what could be the brand’s next big launch.
While it is still too soon to jump to conclusions, this new spotted SUV reminds us of Hyundai’s first dedicated localised EV, teased at the investors’ meet in 2025. This is expected to be the sub-4 m compact SUV which will be taking on the Punch.ev in the upcoming time. The car is expected to come with some really advanced features like Level-2 ADAS, an advanced infotainment system and more. The car is likely to have a perfect mix between highway and city commutes.
Considering this spied SUV will be taking on the Punch.ev, we expect Hyundai to price it anywhere between Rs 10.40 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (on-road Mumbai). Fueling the early speculations, we can expect Hyundai to bring this EV to Indian roads sometime in 2027.

Distinctive Design
The spy shots reveal the vehicle with a strong SUV presence. We can see the car with MRF tyres and 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels from the side, giving it a commanding look. Flared wheel arches and body cladding add to the overall muscular feel of the car.
In addition to this, we also spotted what could be the base variant of this SUV, considering it was running on steel wheels. Instead of the sequential turn indicators on the top spec SUV that we spotted, the lower trim seems to have conventional indicators.
The SUV also features the trending flush-fitting door handles, a thick C-pillar, and a funky rear spoiler with an integrated stop light. Additional design elements include black roof rails, a sharkfin antenna, and a blacked-out window that curves upward at the rear. The flat tailgate blends into a beefy rear bumper, housing the number plate and sequential dotted indicators.

Hyundai SUV Interiors and Features
Though the interior shots remain a mystery, here’s what we think will feature in the new SUV. A dual 12.3-inch screen setup is anticipated, featuring a modern cabin design. Additionally, the ORVMs appear to have a bulge that could house the cameras for the 360-degree camera system. Other expected features include ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, fully automatic AC, and much more.
Bear in mind that this is just a speculation, and we are yet to receive any official information about the car. Whether it’s a rugged off-roader, a compact EV, or something in between, this mysterious Hyundai SUV is a model worth keeping an eye on.
