In 2021, Mahindra shook the entire car industry with the launch of the XUV700. The flagship Mahindra SUV came loaded with advanced tech & powerful engine options. Now, in 2025, we have seen multiple spy shots of its facelift & the launch could happen very soon. So, what exactly should we expect from the Mahindra XUV700 facelift?

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift – New Design

We have seen the test model multiple times, but it has always been camouflaged to keep us in suspense. However, it could not hide some of the details. For instance, we can see a new set of headlamps with a smoked-out effect. And as a part of the facelift, changes to the front grille and front bumpers are also expected. The side profile, however, will more or less remain the same. The only major changes could be a new design for the alloy wheels. Talking of which, the XUV700 facelift will likely come with an option for 19-inch alloy wheels. Finally, it is the rear profile that could also undergo multiple changes. The tailgate could get a new design, along with redesigned LED tail lamps – likely to get connected treatment & redesigned rear bumpers.

Interior 

Along with the exterior, the interior is also expected to undergo a major design overhaul. Some of the spy shots have already revealed the inclusion of a triple-screen layout. So, similar to the XEV 9e, the XUV700 facelift will come equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen system & a 12.3-inch co-driver touchscreen system. This would be a major upgrade compared to the current model. Rest, the centre console is also expected to receive some design changes. What the XUV700 facelift is expected to share with the XEV 9e is the feature list. The SUV could get – powered tailgate, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo, an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated rear seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Level 2+ ADAS and more.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift – Engine Specifications

What is expected to remain completely unchanged are the engine options. And honestly, the current model has one of the best engines in the business & does not really feel like it needs to be upgraded. So, it will continue with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (197bhp & 380Nm) & 2.2-litre diesel engine (182bhp & 450Nm). Both these engines can be opted for either with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT gearbox.

Launch & Price

Now comes the most interesting part – the launch! Well, as of now, reports suggest that Mahindra could launch the XUV700 facelift in the first half of 2026. In fact, the launch could happen around February or March. And regarding prices, well, the current model is priced between Rs 16.50 lakh & Rs 30.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, with a facelift, the prices are expected to see a hike anywhere between Rs 30,000 & Rs 1 lakh.
