It is expected to be based on the 2027 Hilux, which was recently revealed globally. This means it could get features such as a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a fully digital driver’s display, and much more. The outgoing model costs between Rs. 41.72 lakh and Rs. 61.40 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and if the facelift gets an ADAS suite, we could see a Rs. 50,000-Rs. 60,000 price hike.

The powertrain options are expected to be carried over from the outgoing model. These options include a 2.7-litre turbo-petrol (164bhp & 245 Nm) and a 2.8-litre diesel (201bhp & 500 Nm), along with the mild-hybrid variant from the outgoing model. Gearbox options will also be the same, with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AT on offer.

Upcoming Japanese SUV – Nissan Tekton

The Tekton is Nissan’s rendition of the Duster. Nissan has teased the Tekton several times. In fact, it was set to be unveiled in February but was postponed for unknown reasons. Speculations now suggest it could be launched in March or April. The Tekton is expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

We expect it to feature a 10.1-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a powered tailgate, Level-2 ADAS, ventilated and powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

As for the powertrains, it is expected to get a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (99 bhp & 160 Nm) and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (160 bhp & 280 Nm) option. Gearbox options could include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT. Nissan could also launch it with a strong hybrid option later this year.
