TVS’s New Sportsbike Coming Soon?

TVS showcased many concepts, like the e.FX.30 and the RTR HyprStunt, but the Tangent RR stole the spotlight. The angular, sharp look, along with the exaggerated aesthetic elements, makes it stand out like a sore thumb. And now with this latest news, we could see it on Indian roads sooner than ever.
TVS have now officially patented the Tangent RR name. Additionally, the concept is illustrated in the patent image. These are promising signs, but what can we actually expect from the production-model? Let’s find out.

Powertrain

A few weeks ago, we reported spotting a BMW bike, which we assume is an F450. It is very likely that the Tangent RR would use the same powertrain as the BMW. It could feature a 450 cc parallel twin engine (48 bhp & 45 Nm). This motor will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We also reported that we could see the TVS release the Apache 450RR (or the Tangent RR) based on this bike, and now this is set to come true.
Some other features that we expect the Tangent RR to get are a fully adjustable suspension, upside-down folks, cornering ABS, a TFT display with connectivity features, multiple drive modes, a bi-directional quickshifter and a few sporty features like wheelie control and rear lift protection.

Expected Pricing & Launch!

When showcased at the EICMA, it created quite a buzz. So it is expected that many people will be eager to get their hands on the Tangent RR. It will be one of TVS’s most exciting products in recent years. We expect it to be priced around Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and will be the cheaper alternative to the BMW F450 (when launched).
Till now, all we know is that the Tangent RR will arrive in India, and we have little idea of its launch timeline. However, speculation suggests that we could see it on Indian roads by early to mid 2027.
