5. Mahindra Scorpio: 

Only Mahindra in this list is the Scorpio. Even after the launch of the Mahindra 7XO, the Scorpio N and Classic remain unaffected. Mahindra sold about 14,664 Scorpios last month. These are the only 7-seater SUVs on the list today. Not just that, Scorpio N is the only SUV on the list to offer a 4×4 powertrain option.

The Scorpio N is priced between Rs 16.20 lakh and Rs 29.68 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), while the Classis is priced between Rs 15.97 lakh and Rs 20.46 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Yes, over time, we have seen a bit of the price hike with the Scorpio N. The N’s feature list and driving dynamics are better when compared to the Classic. Making it a go-to choice for someone looking for an SUV with decent urban practicality and road presence. In addition, N offers Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree parking camera, a sunroof, and much more. On the other hand, the whole USP of the Scorpio Classic is its road presence, which is famous for being used by VIPs and Police officials. The diesel powertrain featuring the 2.2-litre Diesel remains the same across both SUVs. On the upside, the Scorpio N gets an option of the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. 

4. Maruti Suzuki Brezza: 

Surprisingly, this is the only Maruti in this list. The Brezza had clocked 17,863 units last month. With high fuel efficiency and practical design, Brezza has been one of India’s favourites for quite a long time now. Maruti is also planning to give the Brezza a facelift really soon. 

Maruti Brezza is priced between Rs 9.68 and Rs 15.42 (on-road, Mumbai). Brezza do misses out on some high-end features like ADAS and ventilated seats, but it’s all about practicality. It offers a 360-degree parking camera, an electric sunroof, a head-up display, wireless charging and a 9-inch infotainment screen. What’s worth mentioning is the claimed mileage of 28.65 kmpl with the hybrid and 27.02 kmpl with the CNG powertrain. 

3. Hyundai Creta:

The Hyundai Creta is one of the most desired SUVs in the country right now, topping the SUV charts for a really long time until the last few months. About 17,938 Cretas were sold in February 2026. These sales figures are the combined totals for all powertrains, including petrol, diesel, and even electric. 

The Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 12.84 lakh and Rs 24.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), while the Creta Electric is priced between Rs 19.12 lakh and 26.10 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Creta offers a panoramic sunroof, an electric driver seat, ventilated front seats, a twin 10.25-inch screen setup and much more.

2. Tata Punch: 

With the facelift introduced at the start of the year, the Tata Punch got a lot of buzz. And that’s sure been reflected in its sales figures, which were 18,748 units sold last month. Punch EV also got its facelift by the end of February. The updated Punch also came with one interesting powertrain option featuring CNG and an AMT transmission. 

Tata Punch (ICE) comes with a pricetag ranging between Rs 6.63 lakh and Rs 12.24 lakh  (on-road, Mumbai). Alongside this, the Punch EV is priced between Rs 10.20 and Rs 13.39 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the Punch, you get features like a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, push-button start, a sunroof, and more. 

1. Tata Nexon:

Tata Nexon is here again to hold the throne of not just the most-sold SUV but also the most-sold car in February 2026. With 19,430 units sold, Nexon sits at the top of the sales charts. Nexon is available in a number of variants and powertrains, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. 
Nexon is priced at Rs 8.61 lakh and Rs 17.06 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Over this, the NExon EV is priced between Rs 13.22 lakh and Rs 18. 56 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Nexon is one of the most feature-rich cars in the segment, with offerings like a 10.25-inch driver’s display and ventilated front seats. an air purifier, a 360-degree parking camera, and an ADAS suite. Making it more practical is that the various powertrain options include CNG, Petrol, Diesel (Turbo engine option), and Electric.
