We are not talking about the Tata Sierra here, but the GMC Sierra Denali 2500 HD crew cab. GMC is an American brand, and the Sierra we are talking about is a CBU unit we came across on Facebook Marketplace. This Sierra is very different from the one we know and have in India; it’s a massive, full-size American pickup truck. Here are some details about it:

Exterior:

We mentioned it’s massive, and we are not exaggerating. To put it into perspective, even a Fortuner would seem small when compared to this American pick-up truck. The GMC Sierra Denali trim features a massive front grille with chrome inserts, boxy headlamps, large mirrors, and an exhaust pipe sticking out from the rear bumper. In addition to this, there are the big boxy cladding surrounding the 20-inch chrome alloy wheels, wrapped in all-terrain tyres, and functional size steps. The seller also mentions a 4-inch lift kit. Complimenting the massive look is the metallic blue colour.

Interiors:

The cabin features a full jet-black theme and enough space for 4 to 5 passengers to sit comfortably. It also comes equipped with an 8-inch infotainment screen, a single-pane sunroof, powered front seats, a wireless charging pad and much more. The major change from the American spec is that this one is a right-hand drive vehicle. Obviously, this is a converted unit to comply with Indian government norms.

Powertrain:

Now, we get to the main and exciting highlight of the truck, its massive engine. This Sierra gets a 6.6-litre V8 diesel engine, producing 397hp and 1,037Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed AT transmission and 4X4. In addition, the seller mentions that this Sierra comes with a performance air intake and many other performance modifications to eke out more power.

In America, GMC pickups are go-to choices for contractors, farmers, and off-road enthusiasts, but with an expensive price tag of Rs 1.9 Cr, this purchase doesn’t make sense to most of the Indian buyers. But, if you have Rs 1.9 crore to spare and want something extreme and flamboyant, this might just be what you need. It will look like a monster truck on Indian roads, grabbing all the attention you’ll ever need!
